Director of Motion Picture Planning for major studio in Los Angeles needed for immediate opportunity!

Director/Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Prepare Studio's monthly written financial summary document for Studio and Corporate Studio C-Level; presents actual/forecast data and market analysis

  • Play a key role in planning activities for Studio Pictures, including coordination with Business Units to prepare annual Budget, periodic updates, and various ad hoc analyses

  • Maintain financial models to forecast revenues and costs on a by-film basis

  • Prepare summaries of actual and forecast results for review by senior management.

  • Calculate impacts of various risks and opportunities with respect to forecast results (i.e. sensitivity analysis)

  • Monitor movements in foreign exchange rates and associated impact on forecast results

  • Ad hoc analyses including trend analysis, sensitivities, etc.

  • Maintain current knowledge of the entertainment landscape including all platforms, key talent, and product releases

  • Create and maintain the "Studio 4Q Financials" report issued weekly and used throughout the organization by senior management

  • Develop & own the consolidation process for quarterly estimates; includes allocating amort by title and strata

  • Prepare and distribute corporate top side adjustments to plan

  • Manage Hyperion administrator, overseeing day-to-day management of corporate system and quarterly submission to corporate parent

  • Act as primary liaison to counterpart at corporate parent

  • Prepare year-end business unit performance summaries used by senior management

  • Prepare "corporate planning calendar" used across planning organization

  • Develop and oversee process for receiving, reviewing, and consolidating monthly forecasts from business units
